It's always an SUV, and it's never a surprise that it's an SUV.
Taken about an hour ago.
Edit - for those going on and on about taking photos while driving, this was a still from my GoPro, see?
I would never take a picture while driving.

Keep on taking pictures and you may not be far behind ;)

Never a surprise at all. Suburban on it's roof? No shock at all.
Unrelated, all the cars I see broken down on the side of the road as of late, besides myself are all BMWs

stanced e30s can't do this.

How is that unsafe?

"I don't know what happened. The 4WD on my SUV must have broke"

Funny, my wife called this morning to tell me about the car in the ditch right on our road...that she drove past in her fullsize Tahoe. She is a pretty cautious driver with most excellent snow tires, so I didn't expect the call to be of the "come rescue me" variety.

I'm willing to bet thats not a Yukon Denali driving soccer mom driving that Xterra. I'm also willing to bet that Xterra driver would not be in a highway shoulder ditch.

Could've been a dashcam?

You don't think diverting your attention to taking a picture isn't a distraction? Or did you just blindly aim and luckily get it? Was it a digital camera or did you fumble through a lock screen, (possibly) a pass code and cycle through the menu to find the camera?

Beats me. I replied tongue-in-cheek

Going to have to agree with you here. Even if he wound up in the ditch, something tells me he wouldn't be there long.

Just playing devil's advocate. I've seen plenty of cars stuck in 6" snow and plenty of bro trucks in a ditch with a dusting. I do LOL at the lowered car + winter tires = snowmobile crowd.

What about if it was a frame from my GoPro? Is that still unsafe?

It all depends on the driver and how much they practice. Someone who has a lowered Miata on snow tires and practices in an empty parking lot to know how to control a car in all situations will get through snow. A bro who assumes his lifted F250 automatically makes him a god in snow will not. That Xterra driver clearly knows what he is doing so he'll be fine.
I almost destroyed my Miata over the weekend when I hit an iced-over bridge seem (dashcam footage coming later), but I managed to save it... and on shitty tires..
That said, stanced anything is dumb and you can have the best tires in the world but it won't help you.

If your GoPro is here... You must have another mounted on the headrest to monitor the one mounted on the dash. GoProCeption.

That is a lot of resolutions.

Weeelllll, there is a difference in plowed roads with white on them and actual real "fuck you in the ass 12 inches of snow in a morning" snow. Granted that is only 2 - 3 days a year, but dammit I'm ready for it.
